Nadine Dorries has said that David Cameron’s return to the government could now open the door for George Osborne to return.

In Dorries book she claims that Osborne was involved behind the scenes which led to Boris Johnson’s downfall.

The former culture secretary said that with Cameron’s return to government, “This now opens the door for the rerun of Osborne.

“He will want a safe seat, if such a thing exists and then into leader of the opposition slot.”

In 2017 Osborne who is the former Chancellor left government and he then became the editor of the Evening Standard.

At the time Osborne quit politics he said in an ominous statement that he is leaving “for now,” hinting he could come back to government.

Sky News reported that Dorries said, “You heard it here first.

“Nothing happens by accident for these guys. It is all long-planned.”
