Chinese mercenary fighting in Ukraine confirms North Korean soldiers killed

A Chinese mercenary who is fighting for Russian forces has confirmed that North Korean soldiers have been killed fighting inside Ukraine.

This highlights that not only are Chinese nationals are in the war, but North Korean soldiers have already entered Ukraine and are actively fighting.

Newsweek reported that a Chinese mercenary who goes by the handle “Dian Yuzhang” on X has reportedly returned back to China.

Speaking about the North Korean soldiers, he said  laughing in a video on X, “After just one day, eight people have died, senior officers.”

Translated from Chinese, on his X post it reads, “On October 19, Chinese mercenary “Lao Wang” and “The Warden” had a live broadcast and chatted: It is normal for Russian commanders to make mistakes. Many bodies could not be identified, so there was no compensation.

“The Warden” said that 153 Chinese had been killed on his front line.
“If you count, there will be more on your side.
“On my side, the North Korean soldiers went in and died. It only took one day for eight people, and they were commanders.”

On Tuesday North Korea issued a statement denying their troops are in Russia or Ukraine, saying they are “groundless rumours.”

An official said during the  United Nations General Assembly First Committee on disarmament and international security, “As for the so-called military cooperation with Russia, my delegation does not feel any need for comment on such groundless stereotyped rumors aimed at smearing the image of the DPRK and undermining the legitimate, friendly and cooperative relations between two sovereign states.”

A NATO country has told European nations that if North Korean soldiers fight in Ukraine then they must put “boots on the ground.”

In an interview with Politico the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis that European leaders must reconsider the French idea of deploying EU troops inside Ukraine.

The Lithuanian Foreign Minister said, “If information about Russia’s killing squads being equipped with North Korean ammunition and military personnel is confirmed, we have to get back to ‘boots on the ground’ and other ideas proposed by Macron.”

Landsbergis added, “Regretfully, we are lagging again, being reactive, but I believe in our joint capacity to make all the necessary proactive steps to turn President Macron’s ideas into action.”

South Korean said on Tuesday they could send troops to Ukraine to monitor North Korean soldiers fighting Vladimir Putin’s war.

South Korean troops could play a part with interrogations of captured North Korean soldiers and analyse their military tactics fighting in Russia’s full-scale war.
