Edgware road was brought to a halt on Tuesday afternoon as hundreds of British Muslims took to the streets to protest against ISIS.

British Shia Muslims shouted anti-ISIS chants, and beat drums along the central London concourse.

The march was part of the Muslim day of Ashura – a religious comemmoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.

Protestors and people apparently working in local businesses took to Twitter to post photographs of the march, while others posted videos of the packed street.
