Citizens of Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates can travel to the United Kingdom, thanks to the EVW UK (electronic visa waiver) issued by the United Kingdom.

In order to travel to the United Kingdom for tourist, business, educational, or medical reasons, eligible citizens can apply for a visa waiver online.

What is the EVW UK?

In order to speed up the process of getting a UK tourist visa for nationals of eligible countries, the government of the United Kingdom has introduced the UK tourist visa waiver online.

In the UK, a single entry visa waiver permits a stay of up to six months in the country and is valid from the date of admission for six months.

The UK EVW application can be completed online by anyone who meets the eligibility requirements. Only a few minutes of your time is needed to fill out the UK visa waiver application with your personal, passport, and travel details. A few security-related questions must be answered to submit the form and receive an email with an authorised UK tourist visa waiver.

You can apply for the UK EVW up to 48 hours before your intended arrival date if you are eligible. EVW registrations in the United Kingdom are typically completed within 24 hours after submission.

Contact your nearest UK Embassy or Consulate if you are an EVW-eligible citizen and want to stay in the nation for a longer period or for a reason like employment.

Requirements for EVW UK

The following UK online visa waiver conditions must be met to submit an EVW application:

  •       Have a valid passport from a country that qualifies for EVW
  •       Make sure you have a valid credit or debit card to pay the EVW fee
  •       Please provide a current email address where the authorised EVW UK can be sent.

To be eligible for a visa waiver, applicants must also meet the UK visa waiver standards for personal information.

  •       Information of a current, valid passport
  •       The address in the United Kingdom where they will be staying
  •       Detailed travel information, including arrival and departure dates and times.

Print a copy of the approved visa waiver and submit it with your passport at the airport to meet the requirements for entering the United Kingdom.

UK EVW criteria also stipulate that travellers must enter the country with the same passport they used to apply for their EVW. This is something to bear in mind if you’re a traveller with dual nationality.

What to expect in the United Kingdom?

The United Kingdom is a wonderful destination, and each of the four countries that make up the island nation contributes something unique. Each of the four regions of the British Isles is a beautiful place to explore, with museums and galleries as numerous as restaurants, bars, and clubs. Natural splendour is the cherry on top of one of the world’s most desirable holiday spots.

There will be an argument for an alternative to every option; such is the enthusiasm in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. While nature does her thing, cities and towns hold the fort, and there is a delight to be found everywhere, from Cardiff to London via Edinburgh, Belfast, and the rest.

From rolling green hills and old woodland to towering peaks and picturesque lakes, the United Kingdom’s countryside is as diverse as it is mighty. It’s impossible to see everything that makes the United Kingdom unique without visiting at least one of its 15 National Parks, ranging from flat Norfolk Broadland and untamed Exmoor to dramatic Lake District and Peak District vistas and world-famous dark skies in Northumberland.

The setting of Portmeirion could fool you into thinking you’re in the Mediterranean rather than the mountains of North Wales. It’s like something out of a fantasy novel. Built by Welsh architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, Portmeirion Village is a colourful patchwork of rainbow-hued structures on its own tranquil peninsula jutting into an estuary. It’s not the truest portrayal of Welsh life, but the stunning buildings, lush gardens, and sand beaches make it worth a visit anyway.

Located in southern England, the Jurassic Coast is a 95-mile coastline known for its unusual geology. As you go from Exmouth in Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset, you’ll come across 185 million-year-old rocks. This area is known for its stunning cliffs at Beer, historic seaside towns like Lyme Regis and West Bay, as well as the Chesil Beach and Old Harry Rock shingle ridges. Keep an eye out for stunning Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door’s great natural limestone arch as you make your way into Dorset.

The Scottish Highlands are a unique and unforgettable experience. Boating, biking, and hiking are just a few of the many outdoor activities available here. The environment is stunning, but it’s also a place of legend, mystery, folklore, and awe-inspiring history. The Highland Folk Museum is a must-see for history buffs. Other must-sees include the standing stone burial mounds known as Clava Cairns.
