With London Fashion Week in full swing, Uber can reveal that the number of rides around the British Fashion Council (BFC) show space on The Strand have soared as fashion editors and bloggers travel between shows.

Trips to and from the BFC show space in UberLUX cars – including Bentleys, Rolls Royce vehicles and the Range Rover Vogue – have almost tripled (up 174% week-on-week) as the fashion pack seeks to make a stylish impression on their colleagues on the Frow.

UberEXEC trips (made in the likes of the Mercedes S Class and BMW 7 Series) have increased by 50%, further suggesting that flagging a luxurious vehicle from inside the venue is becoming de rigeur at shows including Bora Aksu and Ashish.

For those who prefer to keep a tight rein on their fashion week finances, standard UberX rides and Pool were also a popular option, up 35% week-on-week. Meanwhile, many of the fashion elite grouped together to split the fare* in an XL vehicle.

An Uber spokesperson said: “UberLUX rides around the BFC show space have tripled during Fashion Week, showing that arriving and departing the shows in style is becoming something of a status symbol among the fashionable crowd gathered around The Strand.

“UberLUX is Uber’s most stylish option, offering high-end cars when you want to splurge on an extra-special journey. When you want to be papped by street style photographers, it’s the perfect way to ensure you arrive without a hair, heel or sequin out of place.”
