Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbook has said on Monday they are planning to disrupt Heathrow Airport by flying to drones at the exclusion zone.

Bradbook said speaking at a demonstration at Bristol Bridge, โ€œDrones are the toys that you buy for children theyโ€™re not inherently evil things even though theyโ€™ve been used in bad ways.

โ€œTheyโ€™ve said ok thereโ€™s this exclusion zone around Heathrow where you canโ€™t fly drones and weโ€™ve gone oh that’s interesting because what weโ€™re about is breaking the rules.

โ€œSo, it will be right on the edge of that zone, it will be preannounced, and it will be a head height little toy, little crappy toy from a crappy toy shop.

โ€œNobody is getting, threatened attacked or anything.

โ€œThe intention is to ground aviation and to have this conversation about how can you say youโ€™re telling the truth when youโ€™re planning a third runway at Heathrow that will emit the same amount of carbon of I think it’s Cyprus

โ€œWe have to start closing down some of the infrastructure.โ€
