Extinction Rebellion co-founder Gail Bradbook has said on Monday they are planning to disrupt Heathrow Airport by flying to drones at the exclusion zone.

Bradbook said speaking at a demonstration at Bristol Bridge, “Drones are the toys that you buy for children they’re not inherently evil things even though they’ve been used in bad ways.

“They’ve said ok there’s this exclusion zone around Heathrow where you can’t fly drones and we’ve gone oh that’s interesting because what we’re about is breaking the rules.

“So, it will be right on the edge of that zone, it will be preannounced, and it will be a head height little toy, little crappy toy from a crappy toy shop.

“Nobody is getting, threatened attacked or anything.

“The intention is to ground aviation and to have this conversation about how can you say you’re telling the truth when you’re planning a third runway at Heathrow that will emit the same amount of carbon of I think it’s Cyprus

“We have to start closing down some of the infrastructure.”
