New odds show

Ladbrokes has slashed odds of Boris Johnson becoming the next Conservative leader after his conference speech in Manchester.

The Cabinet Minister had been 6/1 at the turn of the month but has since been trimmed to just 4/1, making him the new favourite ahead of market leader, David Davis.

Meanwhile, Amber Rudd, Jacob Rees-Mogg and Philip Hammond are all 8/1 shots to replace Theresa May, while the rest of the field are 16/1 or bigger.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “Money talks, and punters now believe it’s BoJo who’ll be taking over the Conservative party helm next.”
