If you’re a Croydon resident then you’re probably the least happy Londoner. No we’re not saying that, David Cameron’s “happiness index” project is.

Data from the project revealed that Croydon scored an average rating of 7 followed by Barking & Dagenham on 7.06 and Hackney on 7.07 – making these areas the least happy in London.

The happiest areas in the capital were the City followed by Kensington & Chelsea on 7.68 and Bromley on 7.73.

Furthermore, Islington emerged as the most-stressed borough in London while Enfield was the calmest.

Across the UK, the rural South-West is the happiest region in Britain and cities Blackburn and Stoke are the most miserable in Britain.
