Good news! Almost one million Olympic tickets are up for sale with first priority to the 20,000 applicants who were unsuccessful in the first two rounds of sales.
Starting 11am on this Friday, the 20,000 applicants will have 31 hours of exclusive access to the tickets. After which, the one million people who missed out on the tickets in the first ballot can buy tickets on a first-come, first-served basis for the next five days.
Locog chairman Sebastian Coe said: “We know thousands of sports fans were disappointed when they missed out in the initial sales period because of the massive demand for tickets. We promised we would prioritise these fans when we released the contingency tickets, which is exactly what we are doing.”
