London’s Canary Wharf Underground station was closed today due to a “customer incident,” the city’s transport authorities said.
According to separate media sources, a person died at the station after reportedly falling from a height. The incident is not being treated as suspicious.
A Reuters witness saw police vehicles outside the station which serves the financial district of Canary Wharf and sits on the Jubilee Line of the Underground.
We are aware of a medical incident ongoing in Canary Wharf Jubilee Line station. The station is closed and trains are currently not stopping at Canary Wharf Station.

Lots of activity outside my office watching the @LDNairamb and @metpoliceuk. Apparently #CanaryWharf tube station is closed due to an incident. Sad to think what may have happened. pic.twitter.com/2rwOM0enPv

Canary Wharf station shut. What looks like a person covered in those silver emergency blankets with emergency services around them on eastbound Jubilee Line platform.
