Alex Salmond, the former Scottish first minister has appeared in court Thursday afternoon. He has been charged with, two attempted rapes, two indecent assaults, nine sexual assaults and one count of breaching the peace.
Salmond said outside Edinburgh court, he is “innocent of any criminality whatsoever.”
Adding, “The only thing I can say is I refute, absolutely, these allegations of criminality and I’ll defend myself to the utmost in court.
“I’ve got great faith in the court system in Scotland… that is where I will state my case.”
