According to Results international, WPP saw their M&A activity half as they completed 30 deals in 2017 compared to just 15 in 2018 valued at £15.4bn.

Julie Langley Results International partner said, “The high deal activity of 2018 was driven by the continued emergence of new buyers and private equity interest in the sector, as well as the continued requirement for in-demand skills in area such as technology, programmatic, content and analytics.”

In December WPP announced that they will be slashing 3,500 jobs which is part of their 3-year plan as they look to restructure and focus more on technology.
