London share trading opens one hour late today

London Stock Exchange trading was delayed by an hour otoday morning due to a “technical issue”. Trading normally begins at 08:00 each weekday, but today’s opening session did not begin until 09:00.

A spokesperson for the London Stock Exchange added that the opening auction had been held up due to an issue with pricing data.

Other European bourses have also faced issues in recent months.
