Feast It, the UK’s leading booking platform for event catering, has appointed Lucas London, the vice president of international at skills marketplace, Airtasker, as their investor director.

London is an existing investor in Feast It along with a number of experienced executives and entrepreneurs including Richard Pennycook, the newly-appointed chairman of On the Beach Group and previous chairman of The Hut Group, Tim Score, the chairman-elect of British Land and former CFO of ARM Holdings plc and Sarah Willingham of Dragons’ Den.

The appointment comes during a rapid period of growth for the business, following an impressive £1.7m funding round in February 2019. Feast It grew by more than 1000% in 2018, reaching over £2.5m worth of enquiries per month last year, and is currently targeting a 360% growth in 2019.

Digby Vollrath, co-founder of Feast It said, “We’re so excited to have Lucas commit his talents to Feast It’s board. He’s added incredible value in the few years since becoming one of our earliest investors and it’s going to be great for us to continue to learn from his breadth of knowledge.”

As investment director, London brings a wealth of valuable knowledge to Feast Its Board, having driven a number of start-up businesses to international success. In addition to leading the expansion of Airtasker outside Australia, he is also a Director at F&B Kitchen and the co-working space, Karma Kitchen and a mentor on the Escape The City and Virgin start-up programmes, winning Virgin’s Mentoring Star of 2017.

Hugo Campbell, co-founder of Feast It added, “Lucas has a uniquely well-suited set of experience and skills to complement what we’re trying to build here; we couldn’t feel luckier to have him on board.”

Founded in 2017 by former festival organiser, Digby Vollrath and ex-Independent journalist, Hugo Campbell, Feast It has closely curated a diverse range of over 650 of the UK’s top caterers and mobile bars to book for all kinds of events, spanning from corporate occasions to weddings.

London said on the appointment, “I am excited to join the board as investor director having worked with the team since investing during the seed stage.

“It is a pleasure to work closely with two extremely dynamic and passionate founders and their team, who are completely focused on disrupting the events industry at speed.”
