The former disgraced Health Secretary, Matt Hancock is planning a comeback after his dramatic resignation on Saturday as he broke his own Covid rules.
Friends of love rat Hancock say he hopes to “re-emerge” in the coming months to rebuild his career.
He has not been seen since The Sun newspaper published a front page expose over Hanock’s affair with aide Gina Coladangelo.
Hancock has been called “beyond contrite” for breaking his own rules on social distancing which every Briton was forced to obey.
A friend told the Daily Mail, “He blames himself for everything – this is no-one else’s fault.
“For now, his children are his priority and he is going to take some time away.
“But he knows he has to re-emerge at some point. It is going to be a long way back – he knows that – but he is going to try.”
It has also emerged that Martha Hancock apologised on WhatsApp to her neighbours following the huge media attention outside her home after her husband resigned.
A neighbour said, “It was very kind of her, considering the shock she had just had. It basically said she was sorry but just to let everyone know there would be some disruption from media in the street in the coming days.
“She was thinking of others.”
Coladangelo left her husband Oliver Tress for Hancock after their affair was leaked by the Sun newspaper.
Oliver Tress who is the multimillionaire founder of Oliver Bonas has been left “devastated” by the affair and is “reeling.”
