Almost 90% chance Boris Johnson steps down this year following Sunak and Javid’s shock resignation

Boris Johnson is now long odds-on at 1/7 to go this year – or an 87% likelihood – with the odds of the PM standing down in 2022 collapsing following the departure of Rishi Sunak and Savijd Javid.

Penny Mourdant is the new clear favourite to be the next Conservative leader at 6/1, ahead of Jeremy Hunt, Ben Wallace and Liz Truss at 8/1.

The Tories are now 3/1 to win an overall majority at the next General Election, while Labour are 4/1.
