Tweeted picture goes viral

The Labour Party leader was snapped leaving the comedian Russell Brand’s home last night – with the picture soon going viral on Twitter.

While it’s not clear what Miliband was doing hanging out with a man who advocates not voting, one can only assume he was trying to change his mind.

Russell Brand lives in Shoreditch in East London and has a studio there. A Labour spokesperson said that Miliband went to film an interview on Monday night.

Persuading Brand to vote for Labour could of course lead to many more votes, as the author of Revolution and guest editor of the New Statesman, the comedian has a major following on Twitter, his own YouTube channel and a very public profile generally.

But then again, he’s as loved as he is derided by both those on the left and the right of the political spectrum.  Does Ed Miliband really want his support?
