Insulate Britain have returned to blocking roads on Wednesday which has caused fury amongst drivers.
Drivers were so furious that the police intervened and threatened drivers with arrest is they touched the protesters, despite the activists being in contempt of court following a High Court super injunction that was granted on Monday.
A furious driver threw ink at two protesters and a group of people confirmed to Sky News “that someone threw it over the people sitting in the road.”
A retired doctor called Christian, 77, who was sitting in the middle of the A40 had ink thrown in his face.
He said, “It wasn’t painful, it didn’t hurt, it was unpleasant, but just sad, the whole thing’s sad, it’s sad that we have to do this.
“I hate doing it, I’m a retired doctor, I’ve spent my whole life trying to help people, and I’m reduced to having to do this because the government won’t address the problem adequately, basically. Terribly worried.”
