BREAKING NEWS: Reports of gunfire at the House of Commons

Terror threat at the House of Commons

The House of Commons has been suspended due to gunshots being heard. Six people have been injured on Westminster Bridge.

There is a major police and emergency operation under way and a police cordon has been set up. There are a number of people being treated.

Scotland Yard has confirmed that there is an incident underway.

Eyewitnesses have described a man with a knife inside the Palace of Westminster.

Journalist Quentin Letts said a “parliamentary security men shoot a man who had attacked a policeman.”

There multiple reports of injured people on Westminster Bridge while a 4×4 car has also crashed in the railings at the Palace.

The Prime Minister, Theresa May was rushed from the Palace to safety by her security team.

The alleged assailant has been shot by armed police and a policeman has been stabbed.

London Ambulance has confimed there are around 15 ambulances on the scene and London air ambluance. There is one fire crew and 4 ambulances on the Westminster Bridge.

There are reports of British Special Forces to also be at the Palace of Westminster.

The situation on the ground is very confused and unfolding.
