Broadgate Tower on Primrose Street in the City of London has been evacuated after a suspect package was found.

Police were alerted to the incident at 12.30, and the street has been cordoned off while the authorities investigate.

Speaking to the Evening Standard, Sophie Robertson, 25, a HR professional who works on level 21 of the building, said: “I saw a riot van blocking the entrance to the road.

“They are not letting anyone near and saying that the building is going to be evacuated due to a suspect package. They have been widening the closed area.”
