Harry’s razor brand that was set up only six years ago has been acquired by Wilkinson Sword for £1bn.

Harry’s disrupted the market by selling grooming goods direct to consumers via a subscription service.

The founders, Andy Katz-Mayfield and Jeff Raider formed the company as existing razors were too expensive and overdesigned.

In 2016 rival Dollar Shave Club was bought out in 2016 for $1bn by Unilever.

According to a ResearchAndMarkets.com report, the men’s grooming industry is expected to be valued at $78.6bn 2023 up from $57bn in 2017.
