However, Trump’s legal team lashed out at the media about publishing the news and called it “outrageous”.
An FBI inquiry into Russia’s alleged attempts to intervene in the 2016 US election are being investigated.
Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion with Russia, describing the ongoing inquiry as a “witch hunt”.
The Washington Post quoted unnamed officials to reveal Daniel Coats, the director of national intelligence, Mike Rogers, the head of the National Security Agency, and Richard Ledgett have agreed to be interviewed by investigators.
The questioning could happen as early as this week.
