Speculation is rife over who will step into the legendary role of James Bond following Daniel Craig’s departure as the sixth Bond, a part he famously embodied from 2006 to 2021.

With the next movie reportedly scheduled for release in 2027, filming is thought to begin shortly, making an official announcement imminent.

This week, it has been rumoured that Wuthering Heights star Jacob Elordi could be a potential contender for the part – and Betway’s odds are revealed as 20/1. The Australian star’s career has been one to watch, with him previously starring in Frankenstein, Saltburn and Euphoria – so who knows what’s on the cards?

Aaron Taylor-Johnson is the most-likely successor, with odds of 11/10. The 35-year old star has been credited for his versatile acting ability, from emotionally-charged performances in Nowhere Boy, to high-action roles in Bullet Train and Tenet. Plus, he’s known for his comedic charm, as well as his classic good looks, with a loyal legion of adoring fans. Aaron has remained tight-lipped over the speculation, but we could certainly see him slipping into the role of 007 with ease.

Henry Cavill is the second favourite to take on the role of James Bond, with odds of 3/1. The 42-year old is well-versed in major franchises too, having starred in Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and famously portrayed Superman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

And third favourite on the list is Callum Turner, with odds of 5/1. The esteemed actor, 35, has become known for his compelling performances on the big and small screens, including The Capture, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and Masters of the Air.
