Officials in Jerusalem has ordered all citizens to “prepare their bomb shelters” and stock up with food and water and expect power cuts.
Israel’s Victory supermarket chain told CNN that Israeli’s are buying canned food, toilet paper, frozen meat, bottled water cereals and hygiene wipes in preparation for an attack.
Officials in Jerusalem issued alert instructions should the city come under an aerial bombardment of drones or missiles that they have just 90 seconds to reach their bomb shelters.
The instructions issued reads, “Residents are advised to clean and prepare their bomb shelters in advance.”
Citizens have been told to stock up on batteries, torches and medication to last at least for three days.
It adds, “Residents should be ready for power cuts that might last several days. They should also be ready to stay in bomb shelters for several days.”

The Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei announced on Wednesday it is “Iran’s duty” avenge the killing of the Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh.
Hamas’ military unit said that the assassination of Haniyeh will “take the battle to new dimensions and have major repercussions.”
The statement added, “The enemy made a miscalculation by expanding the circle of aggression and killing leaders of the resistance in various places and violating the sovereignty of states in the region.”
The Iranian supreme leader, Khamenei said, “We consider it our duty to avenge his blood in this bitter and difficult incident that happened in the territory of the Islamic Republic.”
US officials have said they believe an attack from Iran will come in days and could be much larger and more complex than when Tehran attacked Israel in April with a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones.
On 13 April Tehran launched more than 300 missiles and drones which was the first direct attack from Iranian territory.
This was in response to Israel killing seven Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard officers in Damascus, Syria on 1 April.
Hassan Nasrallah the head of the Iranian backed militant group Hezbollah has suggested that they could also join Tehran with a coordinated attack from Lebanon.
During a speech on Thursday Nasrallah said, “Because they have picked a fight with everyone, they don’t know where the response will come from … the response will come separately or coordinated.”
Washington has vowed to help protect Israel and has sent 12 warships to the Middle East and a fighter jet squadron as tensions in the region have hit an unprecedented scale.
The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has ordered the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, along with destroyers and cruisers which are loaded with ballistic missiles to the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea.
CNN reported that the Pentagon said Austin will be directing “multiple force posture moves” across the Middle East amid the expected Iranian military strike on Israel.
The deputy Pentagon press secretary Sabrina Singh said that Austin spoke to the Israeli Defence Minister on Friday, he “informed the minister of additional measures to include ongoing and future defense force posture changes that the department will take to support the defense of Israel.”
