Iran orders a direct attack on Israel as another Hamas chief ‘was eliminated’

Israel has confirmed that they have killed another Hamas military chief, Mohammed Deif who was blown up in an airstrike in Gaza last month.

Israel confirmed that on 13 July an airstrike killed Deif at a compound on the outskirts of the southern city, Kahn Younis in Gaza.

More than 90 civilians in tents near to the compound including health officials in Gaza were killed in the airstrike.

the Israeli military said: “Following an intelligence assessment, it can be confirmed that Mohammed Deif was eliminated in the strike.”

Israel has neither confirmed nor denied killing Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran on Wednesday or Deif, they have promised to “eliminate” the top Hamas leader, Yehya Sinwar.

Sinwar and Deif had planned that 7 October massacre in southern Israel last year that killed more than 1,200 and took around 250 Israeli civilians were taken hostage and were sent to Gaza and were used as human shields.

The New York Times reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered a direct attack on Israel and has called proxy groups to Tehran to discuss what retaliatory actions they will pursue.

The scale of the attacks that will take place on Israel and the manner in which it is conducted is yet to be decided including the timings.

Iran could launch a coordinated attack on Israel using drones and missiles on Haifa and Tel Aviv and Yemen, Syria, Iraq could also get involved.

In retaliation to an Israeli strike on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria in April, Tehran ordered the launch of hundreds of drones and missiles.
