Russian’s were ordered to seek safety and go to the bomb shelters after a nuclear warning warns “there was a strike” and to “take anti-radiation pills.”

On Thursday TV and radio programmes were interrupted in Moscow and people were told to take shelter and wear gas masks.

Messages on TV showed a black and yellow radiation symbol and a map of Russia which was being covered in red.

In Russian a voice was heard on radio and TV warning, “Urgent message. There was a strike.

“Urgently go to a shelter. Seal the premises. Use gas masks of all types.”

Russian officials later confirmed that a cyber-attack on state media channels had happened with the fake nuclear message.

Since the war started on 24 February 2022 Russia has been targeted with cyber-attacks by Anonymous and pro-Ukrainian groups.
