Canary Wharf station evacuated due to fire alert

Canary Wharf station has been evacuated as passengers on the Jubilee Line smelt smoke.

Transport for London (TfL) said, “Canary Wharf station has been closed while we respond to a fire alert.”

Trains will not be stopping at Canary Wharf station announcements on the Jubilee Line warn.

A passenger tweeted, “Canary Wharf station being evacuated due to a ‘reported emergency’. Strange smell throughout the station.”

TfL announced the station has now reopened.
