Princess Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank today in a star-studded event attended by a number A-listers including Naomi Campbell, Liv Tyler, Demi Moore, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, James Blunt and Kate Moss.

The Princess looked stunning as she arrived at Windsor Castle today in a flowing white dress by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos. While bookies were betting on Suzannah and Stella McCartney, the Princess however picked a British brand.

The bride’s shoes were also made by British designer Charlotte Olympia.

The stunning ivory gown also had a number of symbols embedded in it like a thistle acknowledging the couple’s fondness for Balmoral, a shamrock for Ireland, and the York rose and ivy representing the couple’s home.

Another emotional reason why the bride opted to wear this particular design was also to ‘show her scar’. Not many know that the bride had a major surgery on her back when she was 12 to treat a curvature of the spine.

The gown’s beauty was further accentuated by the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara that Princess Eugenie wore, which was an item which has been lent to her by The Queen.

Reports suggest that the tiara was made of rose cut diamonds set in platinum, with six emeralds on either side, and was given to the Queen in 1942.

The bride was accompanied by her father Prince Andrew, Duke of York, at St George’s Chapel.

The wedding was followed by a short carriage procession through Windsor high street and a lunch hosted by the Queen at Windsor Castle.
