Raytheon and United Technologies merge in a deal

Raytheon and United Technologies are merging in a deal that will create the world’s largest defence companies, the merger that was announced on Sunday will close in the first half of 2020.

Shareholders in Raytheon are to receive 2.33 shares in the new company for each Raytheon share, the combined company is named Raytheon Technologies.

The combined companies for 2019 will have sales of $74bn.
