Ukrainian drones have hit a command post of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) in occupied Donetsk, killing 12 officers and injuring 15 others, according to claims made by a Ukrainian commander on Telegram.
Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, said the overnight operation targeted a multi-storey unfinished building used as a command facility.
Videos circulating on social media appeared to show drones striking the structure, followed by a series of explosions reported at around 8am local time on April 22.

Brovdi said the operation involved FP-2 drones manufactured by Ukrainian defence company Fire Point, carrying payloads of 60–100kg. He said Ukrainian forces conducted “eight precision strikes” in coordination with units from the 1st Corps of the National Guard “Azov”.
According to the statement, the facility was used to coordinate sabotage operations, intelligence activity, recruitment and proxy-force operations in the occupied region.
The strike forms part of an intensified Ukrainian campaign targeting Russian military infrastructure in occupied territories, as well as oil and industrial assets linked to Moscow’s war effort.
Kyiv has argued such operations are designed to disrupt Russian logistics, degrade battlefield coordination and limit supplies reaching front-line forces.
Russian authorities in occupied Donetsk have not publicly confirmed the details of the reported strike or casualty figures.
