In a landmark ruling today, the Supreme Court has said that families will no longer need legal permission to withdraw food and life support of loved ones who are in a permanent vegetative state, according to the BBC.
Once families and doctors are in agreement, feeding tubes of such patients can be removed without applying to the Court of Protection.

Lady Black also ruled there was no violation under the Human Rights Convention.
