London’s black taxi cabs will be seen on the streets of Paris from 2019.
London Electric Vehicle Company, which makes plug-in electric taxis, confirmed the development today after the CEO Chris Gubbey told media that they want to provide “new options” for drivers and passengers given the pollution problem facing French cities.
“This truly bolsters our European position and we look forward to serving the cities of France alongside those in Norway, the Netherlands and Germany,” Gubbey added.
Earlier last year, the firm had picked Amsterdam as its first foreign destination for the new electric version of the taxi and it has since expanded to Oslo, Berlin and Hamburg.
