Finnair has said they will cancel around 140 flights on Friday which will affect 12,000 travellers as there will be a four-hour strike.
Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) said work will stop on “different shifts” instead of a specific time.
Finnair’s chief operating officer, Jaakko Schildt, said: “We are sorry for the situation and will do everything we can to ensure that every customer receives a suitable new routing as soon as possible.”
They warned, “due to the high number of cancellations, re-routing all customers may take time.”
The IAU has said that similar strike action will also take place on Monday 5 May and Finnair are “still assessing the exact effects” on traffic.
