Kremlin to allow Russian military to decide to launch nuclear weapons amid Western ‘involvement’

The Kremlin has announced that they will soon allow the Russia’s Defence Ministry to make the decisions over the conditions for when to use nuclear weapons.

The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the Russian military are the ones who are responsible for knowing when Western countries are in “direct involvement” in the war in Ukraine.

Peskov said, “This is the prerogative of our specialists, our military, who are closely monitoring the weapons used and how they are being employed.”

Peskov confirmed the recent amendments to Russia’s nuclear doctrine which will be formalised and released soon.

The change to the nuclear doctrine is required as there is a large number of nuclear powers who are operating in the war in Ukraine, according to Peskov.

The deputy head of the National Security Council Dmitry Medvedev also warned that any attack on Russia using any type of weapon with the support or participation if a nuclear-weapon country “will be considered a joint-attack.”

Medvedev who is Putin’s right-hand man warned, “A massive launch and crossing of our border with enemy aerospace weapons, including aircraft, missiles and UAVs, can under certain conditions become the basis for the use of nuclear weapons.

“Aggression against Russia by a non-nuclear-weapon state, but with the support or participation of a nuclear-weapon country, will be considered a joint attack.”

Last week the Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has issued a grave warning that Minsk and Moscow will use “nuclear arms” in the event of an attack on the republic, meaning Belarus or Russia.

Lukashenko added, “As soon as they attack us (NATO is NATO – the Americans and Poles – they have already lined up along the border, especially the Polish one.

“We know that the Polish leadership is already rubbing its hands), we use nuclear weapons. And Russia gets involved for us.

“We will use nuclear weapons – they can respond to us. And against Russia as well.

“Therefore, Russia will use its entire arsenal. And this is already a world war.”

Putin is increasingly getting “fed up” with London over the conversations from the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Sir Keir Starmer over being allowed to use long-range weapons inside Russia.

So far almost everything President Zelensky has asked for he seems to have gotten, Dmitry Kiselyov who is a close ally of Putin warned should Starmer allow the use of the Storm Shadow cruise missiles then the “UK could face a nuclear response.”

Kiselyov who is Putin’s most senior mouthpiece for the media group Rossiya Segodnya sent Downing Street a warning that the UK has “no missile defence system.”
