Zoe Garbett has experienced a significant improvement in her betting odds for the London Mayoral Election, with her odds dropping from 50/1 to 25/1 this week.

This shift is attributed to the growing interest in the Green Party of England and Wales, which has gained traction following its recent victory in the Gorton & Denton by-election.

Currently, about 71% of bets place Garbett as the Green candidate. She is now considered a stronger contender against Laila Cunningham, who has odds of 9/4. Meanwhile, the incumbent mayor, Sadiq Khan, remains the bookmakers’ favourite for re-election at 6/4.

These changing odds reflect the rising interest in smaller political parties amid recent electoral surprises and a general volatility among voters across the UK. Although betting markets do not reliably predict election results, they often reflect the momentum and sentiment among active bettors.
