As Keir Starmer continues to edge towards the exit door, the Defence Secretary John Healey has emerged as a contender to succeed the Prime Minister as the Labour leader.

The Secretary of State for Defence is now 9/1, slashed from 25/1 during the week.

Punters have shown support for Healey this week; 24% of bets backed the 66-year-old for Labour leader, making him the most backed candidate by bettors.
