BBC weather forecaster has warned that the UK is set to see temperatures plunge with possible record frosts overnight.
The mercury is to hit below freezing overnight on Wednesday and Thursday morning with “cloud and patchy rain.”
BBC weather forecaster Carol Kirkwood said, “A weather front sinking south with cloud and patchy rain
“Northern Ireland, Northern England and Scotland where there is cloud, it will brighten up and will see some sunshine.”
She added, “Through tonight and overnight on Wednesday, skies will clear quite readily.
“We will see some mist and fog patches forming across the East Midlands and parts of eastern England.

The presenter warned that we are going to see more frost as “we are not done just yet with overnight frosts.”
She warned, do no “get your plants outside” just yet until the warmer weather hits towards the end of the month.
