The Chinese government has said it would cede trade war tariffs on medical equipment from the US from March 2, according to a Reuters report.
Hospitals in the region have struggled to cope with a shortage of basic medical kit as the coronavirus has spread.
More than 72,000 people have been infected by the outbreak.
Patient monitors, blood transfusion equipment and instruments to measure blood pressure are items that will no longer have tariffs attached, according to a list released by the Tariff Commission of the State Council.
