Amazon’s revenue profits for the last three months have risen, and net sales for the second quarter to 30 June was $63.4bn up 20% from $52.9bn 2018.
Net income for the Seattle based company in the quarter rose slightly from $2.5bn compared to $2.6bn a year ago.
Founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos said, “Customers are responding to Prime’s move to one-day delivery – we’ve received a lot of positive feedback and seen accelerating sales growth.
“Free one-day delivery is now available to Prime members on more than 10 million items, and we’re just getting started. A big thank-you to the team for continuing to make life easier for customers.”
