Public Health Wales have announced on Monday they now have 30 more cases of coronavirus, bring the total to 124 across the country.
The total number of confirmed cases across the UK, thus far on Monday now stands at 1,425 with 35 deaths.
Professor Francois Balloux, of University College London warned the government’s chief scientific advisor, Sir Patrick Vallance, that his approach to the virus is a “big gamble.”
The government are set to give police new powers to arrest those who are not self-isolating, Matt Hancock said.
The Health Secretary said “we will stop at nothing” in combating the coronavirus pandemic.”
Hancock said that bars, restaurants, shops except supermarkets and pharmacies may all close, he further announced that over 70s will soon be told to stay indoors for up to four months.
The UK shutdown of entire cities could be imposed within just 20 days, according to ITV.
