TSB customers have been hit with yet another online outage, hundreds of customers are affected as they could not access the banks mobile app, to access accounts or pay bills.

The bank suffered a major IT shutdown last year that affected 1.9m people, for a number of weeks.

TSB said on Wednesday morning via Twitter, “We’re aware that some customers are currently experiencing issues with their internet banking and mobile app.

“We’re working to solve this as soon as possible and we apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

Fintech firm Revolut announced this week that they are to hire hackers in a bid to strengthen their IT systems from data theft, fraud and other IT issues that banks can face.

Revolut said that they are upgrading their IT platforms in order that they will not have to deal with the old IT infrastructure, that has hobbled high street banks.

TSB admitted earlier this month the bank lost 80,000 customers after last years IT meltdown that cost the bank a staggering £330m.
