The Biden administration has said they are “open” to sending long-range missiles to Ukraine, this will enable the F-16 fighter jets to strike further and deeper inside Russia.
President Joe Biden has expressed his willingness to provide Kyiv to send the Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM), however no final decision has been made as yet.
However, a Russian politician has warned that US military bases may become the target of retaliatory strikes by America’s enemies in the case of deliveries of long-range JASSM missiles to Ukraine.
Sergey Mironov, the leader of the “A Just Russia – Patriots – For Truth” party and a faction in the State Duma, told LondonLovesBusiness that Vladimir Putin has warned there are “risks to US military bases.”

Mironov said, “It is obvious that the United States and Great Britain are consistently increasing the degree of escalation of the conflict in Ukraine by supplying neo-Nazis with increasingly powerful and long-range weapons systems.
“They pursue several goals at once, ranging from purely military to media and political ones. Unfortunately, this situation will continue until the damage from such actions to them exceeds the benefit.
“Let me remind you that Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about the possible consequences for the United States. In particular, he mentioned the risks to US military bases from America’s enemies.
“For example, such bases are deployed in several provinces of Syria that the Americans have occupied. These bases are sometimes attacked by various homemade rockets and drones, which do not cause much harm. But everything can change if attacks become more lethal and coffins with American servicemen go to the United States.
“As for Ukraine, it is quite obvious that the pumping of the Kiev regime with weapons leaves Russia no choice but to bring a special military operation to an end and liberate the entire territory of the country from neo-Nazis. Yes, it will take effort and time, but it must be done. We cannot allow any anti-Russian bridgeheads near our borders.”
