A Russian MP has warned that the world is on the brink of a “third world war” and NATO are behind Ukraine’s incursion into Russia.
Parliamentary deputy Mikail Sheremet was quoted by state news agency RIA that there is “irrefutable proof” that “foreigners” are participating with the attacks in the Russian Federation.
He said, “Considering the presence of Western military equipment, the use of Western ammunition and missiles in attacks on civilian infrastructure and irrefutable proof of foreigners’ participation in the attack on Russian territory, one could come to the conclusion that the world is on the brink of a third world war.”

Vladimir Putin’s most senior aide has also accused NATO and the West in helping Kyiv’s forces to attack Russia with the incursion inside the Kursk region.
Nikolai Patrushev said during an interview with Russian newspaper Izvestia, “The operation in the Kursk region was also planned with the participation of NATO and Western special services.
“The statements by the US leadership that it was not involved in Kyiv’s crimes in the Kursk region are not true… without their participation and direct support, Kyiv would not have ventured into Russian territory.”
Washington has denied all claims.
