On Monday afternoon the Met Office issued a warning that 60mm of rain could fall in less than six hours causing flooding and fast “flowing floodwater” that could cause “danger to life.”
More heavy rain is hitting London and the South East over Monday afternoon through to the evening.

Forecasters have said that “Homes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings.”
“Delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely with spray and flooding probably leading to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”
Adding, “Power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses likely.”
