The British Foreign Secretary David Lammy brutally mocked Putin in the House of Commons saying it would take 100-years to invade Ukraine.
Lammy said that Putin’s invasion has killed tens of thousands of Russians, he has destroyed the Russian economy, many have fled the country now major businesses are laying off staff, the Russian leader has failed.
Lammy said, “Putins’ position is not one of strength. The invasion has been a monumental strategic failure and pressure is mounting.
“Russia’s casualty rate is staggering, the highest number of military casualties the country has suffered since the second world war.
“Russia is more insecure than it was before the war, and for what?
“Russia gained some territory last year, yes. Fields and small settlements left barren by relentless bombardment, taken at a rate so slow they would need a century to take all of Ukraine.”
Lammy warned that post war borders will be “seriously undermined” if Putin won the war.
