London bus drivers are set to stage a series of strikes in less that two weeks time in a row over pay and working conditions.
Bus drivers will walk out from 22 February and the Unite union have warned that more strikes will happen if the dispute over pay, access to toilet and rest facilities along with driver fatigue conditions are not resolved.
Staff at London United who provides the bus services in South West London are to start strike action on 22, 23 and 24 February.
Unite regional officer Michelle Braveboy said, “Workers are taking industrial action as a last resort as the company has refused to listen to reason and continue with the negotiations.
“They understand that bus strikes will cause huge disruption to the general public but believe they have no choice but to defend terms and conditions and ensure a fair pay offer.”
