Jeremy Hunt new joint-favourite with Liz Truss to be next the next Conservative Prime Minister

Jeremy Hunt’s odds to be the next Conservative leader have shortened to 6/1 from 7/1 and he is now the joint-favourite for the role alongside Liz Truss.

Tom Tugendhat (7/1), Ben Wallace (17/2) and Penny Mordaunt (9/1) are other contenders to replace Boris Johnson in the Tory party. Meanwhile, under-fire Johnson remains 6/5 to leave his role as Prime Minister following the partygate fallout.

Betfair Exchange spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said, “In the past week, Jeremy Hunt has seen his odds cut to 6/1 from 7/1 to make him the joint-favourite with Liz Truss to be the next Conservative leader as pressure continues to grow on Boris Johnson’s position amid the partygate fallout. Tom Turgendhat and Ben Wallace are other contenders to replace Johnson at 7/1 and 17/2, respectively, while the Prime Minister remains 6/5 to leave No10 this year.”
