The Israeli Prime Minister has called a security briefing after the country marked the anniversary of the 7 October Hamas attacks in southern Israel last year.
Benjamin Netanyahu held the unplanned meeting for a security consultation, an Israeli official told The Times of Israel on Monday.
At the last minute a scheduled meeting between Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer and French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot was cancelled.
On Monday Israeli security forces prevented the jailed Hama Nukhba terrorists to riot in prisons to celebrate last years attacks, and around 1,000 security officials raided cells based on intelligence.
The Prime Minister told cabinet officials the war between them Hamas and Hezbollah should be called “The War of Revival” as the year long conflict shows no sign of letting up.

Hamas has called their year long military campaign against Israel as the “Sword of Iron.”
Netanyahu said, “This is our war of existence, the ‘War of Revival.’ This is what I would like to officially call the war.
“Our counterattack against our enemies in Iran’s axis of evil is a necessary condition for securing our future and ensuring our security.
“We will end the war when we complete all the goals we set: overthrowing the evil rule of Hamas, bringing all of our hostages home — both the dead and the living — thwarting any future threat from Gaza to Israel, and returning our residents in the south and north safely to their homes.”
Israel is “changing the security reality in our region. For the sake of our children, for the sake of our future, to ensure that what happened on October 7 will never happen again.”
An official told The Times of Israel the meeting was not urgent as some outlets are purporting and it was not extraordinary.
The official said, “The government holds regular ministerial discussions about various issues on the agenda.
“And that is what it is doing now.”
