Israel has expanded their military operation against the Iranian backed militant group Hezbollah in Lebanon on Tuesday.
On Tuesday morning Israel deployed their fourth battalion of troops inside southern Lebanon and air raids have taken place in the Lebanese capital of Beirut.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) said the have deployed their 146th Reserve Division to carry out ground assaults on Hezbollah positions the western part of the country.

The Lebanese Army which has been trained by the British Army has said that they are ready “to defend” their country with all “available capabilities.”
In a statement the Lebanese Army said they maintain their “readiness to defend the land within the available capabilities, based on the decisions of the political authority and its directives to do what it deems appropriate in order to protect Lebanon.”
This is “in light of the increasing barbaric attacks by the Israeli enemy on various Lebanese regions, and the resulting deaths, injuries and great destruction.”
They added that “experience has proven that the army is the institution that forms the backbone of Lebanon.
“We look forward to the success of international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression as soon as possible.”
