Exports from Germany to Britain in the first 11 months of 2019 fell by 4% due to concerns over the EU and UK’s relationship.
In the year to November 2019 exports to Britain fell by €3bn to €73.6bn compared to the same period in 2018, said the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
Britain and the EU must engage in “intense discussions” to avert negative repercussions for business either side of the channel, said Eric Schweitzer, the president of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce.
